Jonathan Landy
CEO
Jonathan is a research data scientist who enjoys applying rigorous mathematics to practical business challenges. At Square, he developed innovative techniques for ad targeting and impact measurement. He later joined Greg at Stitch Fix, where he became captivated by the high-leverage challenge of inventory optimization—a passion that ultimately led to the founding of VarietyIQ. Prior to this, he studied physics at Caltech, earned a PhD in Physics at UCLA, and conducted research at UCSB and UC Berkeley.
Greg Novak
CTO
Greg is a seasoned data scientist and machine learning engineer with a decade of experience in the field. At Stitch Fix he led a team focused on carrying out speculative research and turning those ideas into production systems running at scale. Before transitioning to tech, Greg spent ten years as an astrophysicist studying interactions between supermassive black holes and their host galaxies, earning his PhD from UC Santa Cruz and doing research at Princeton, Harvard, and the Paris Observatory.
